C7 RS6/ S6 Black Optic Replica Wheels
Hi,
I was thinking of picking these up for - http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-NEW-RS6-A...347124&vxp=mtr
What do you guys think?
Ideally I would like to buy OEM but cannot find where to buy them.

Overseas imports... you get what you pay for with less recourse. Look domestic, someone like Hartmann for replicas:
Hartmann Wheels - Audi Wheels, stock replicas - hartmannwheels.com
I've been running model HTT-256-GA on my S6 for a year now in the pothole'd northeast, no issues.

yes, no-name "Stuttgart" wheels from China? On a performance vehicle? I would not put my life (and the car's) in their hands. Wheels are a critical safety and performance component. not a place to cheap out.

guys, stop it.
I always hear such negativity about replica wheels and people always putting out a blanket statement like they wouldn't risk it? Risk what? If you're doing peelouts 24/7 and taking turns at 50mph then i may see your point. But how many guys actually drive like that on a daily basis? Biggest difference between these rims and oem is the build quality and by that i mean the material used for molding them and their respective strength. The replicas tend to be more brittle so if you hit a good pothole, chances of cracking or bending the rim are high. Other concern is how straight they are. I have had many replicas over time and some of them would give off slight pedal vibration at highway speeds. I had these Stuttgart 21" replicas on my Q7 and honestly out of all the replicas i owned, these were the best in the above mentioned aspects. At end of day, yes, you get what you pay for, which is 1/3 of the price of OEM, but theyre perfectly fine and safe for everyday driving. Will probably picking up a set these in 19" for my B9 A4 as well.

I'm genuinely curious now what actual OEM prices would be now. I recently purchased some "winter wheels" and tires from USARIM.com it was a seemingly good suggestion from someone on one of the winter tire/wheel threads.
I found after using them for 4 Months of one of the mildest winters in my area, the clear coat, or "finish" started to lift and peel at the sharp edges. I'm not terribly upset because they were relatively inexpensive, but it's annoying that they really hype up those wheels as close to OEM, etc. and they guarantee their quality all over their web site. I was curious if they'd make good on the finish as it's under their one year warranty, and they don't return any of my calls, or texts now. But if you call them interested in purchasing wheels they will call you right back.
DON'T Buy those wheels. It's better to buy Authentic.
I'm now going to be one of those guys that flame a business simply because they are scammers in my opinion if they are not going to return calls or when they are faced with a warranty claim, or customer service issue.
