Bump - can anyone compare if there is a receiver in US built cars?

I'd like to give this a try by buying sensors and try the coding.

Wouldn't the R8 also have in-wheel sensors ?

The RS7 in the US has wheel sensors. It's a C7 and ROW C7s have tire sensors too.

Hmmm, need an Auto-Scan from an RS7 to take a gander at. I've not found any evidence that my car has a receiver in place - but it seems more likely it's a separate module. I'd be pretty happy to add in more precise TPMS - this rotation-based system isn't much better than nothing at all.
