Any one else having theses fail? I had it replaced a few years back on bank 1(?) and not it says the other side has failed.

They have been known to be a weak link in other Audi models, but rarely have I heard about it being an issue on the 4.0T.
2.0T has/had a class action suit on them.
3.0T has a "non-damaging" TSB about them. It says they may be noisy at startup but does not cause any damage...yeah.....oooookkkkkk....
So sadly it would not surprise me, just have not seen many posts about them being an issue.
Just out of curiosity, who/what is saying they are failing on your car? VCDS, indy mechanic, or dealer?

VCDS gives it a fault. Engine goes into limp mode.
