Launch control will it destroy the transmission

At some point, yet unknown, the mechanical parts will also start to fail which begs the question - How much does the entire DSG unit cost?

I still think Audi should replace it under warranty, as it no longer performs its function. I think they should replace it for free every time it stops working under the warranty period or provide one that hasn't been programmed to fail after 200 uses.
Had they provided the knowledge that its usable life was only 200 launches, I would have a different opinion.

the dsg is warrantied if it brakes hence why they make you have to pay for the mech units

15 dollars a launch track days just got a lot more expensive, but if you put 15 dollars in your saving account every time you launch it will be much easier to pay for over the year.

Is there a way to see how many launches you have used?

Most warranties and road cars do not cover use in competitive events.
Seems that 200 full power launches may be a strong indicator you are outside the norms of on-road use?

Just purchased a 2013 S6 a few weeks ago. Went in to get my oil changed last evening and my mechanic asked if my car had launch control. I told him I had no idea as I was new to the car. He did a quick search and showed me how to do it. Haven't tried it yet, but looking forward to trying it a few times.
