Default Looking to get a '16 S6 for my wife.....

What kind of percentages off MSRP are considered decent?

I know that I was able to get 14% off the last Porsche I purchased, should I be seeking similar possible discounts with Audi?

TIA

The mark up on an Audi is only 6-7% which is less than Porsche and S models tend to sell above invoice. Expect anywhere from 2-7% off. It all depends on the dealer.

There's 10% mark up on a Porsche. I can see a high volume dealer possibly doing it.

Dealers selling cars at or below cost can make it up in volume. Ayup.

6% discount on brand new should be your target. You can wrestle with the dealer to get there or you can join ACNA and get it by taking 2 minutes to fill out a form.

Thanks guys, yes 14% off a Porsche is possible if at a volume dealer, at the right time of the month/year and if you possess good negotiation skills.

I am a member of the Porsche club and BMW club so I have no problem signing up for the Audi club if I can get an automatic 6% off MSRP.

BTW, is the sport package a must on an S6?

She will not be tracking the car (we have a dedicated race car), but does it make it a more sporty driving experience on a windy road?

Again, I appreciate all of your inputs......

I'll have to say the sports Package is a "must have"....
It's mainly 3 things (as a reminder)
1.) Audi dynamic steering.
-Which makes for a more comfortable, and fun driving experience while turning and maneuvering especially at higher speeds, but also around a parking lot.
2.) Quattro sport differential.
- Also really gives the driver a feeling of control, when maneuvering, it brings that back end around, you can feel it.
3.) Sport exhaust system with black tips
- aside from the polished black tips looking great, this can be controlled with the ADS system, so if you want to roll into a quiet residential neighborhood, and don't want the exhaust crackling, and burping, you can turn it off. But OMG it sounds so good when you want to have fun with it!

Some of these things are really a part of vehicle stability and control, touching on aspects for safety, adding to the overall value of the package beyond just fun and games.

The $3500 price tag is perhaps slightly overpriced, but I think it was smart to price it at that level, because most would gladly pay more money for this package.

To me the sports package is an absolute. It really does change the character of the car. How it feels, how it sounds, etc. that exhaust is amazing.
