Default Maintenance time

So, I took my '15 S6 for the 32k mile maintenance and to correct a fault recall (PODS). Dropped the car at the Audi dealership at 9:30. It is past 4:30 and it doesn't look like I will get the car back today, having to wait until Monday to pick it up. Has anybody experienced a shorter time to have this things done? I have had bad experiences with this dealership before, don't like the idea of leaving the car there over the weekend, but have no choice, bought the extended service guaranty with the vehicle and the other nearest Audi dealership, other than this one, is almost 4 hrs away. Needless to say, that I don't like putting unnecessary mileage on my car. Is a full day the standard duration for correcting this kind of an issue? Thanks for the response.

I was quoted 2-3 hours. You might want to call Audi direct. This tip is online: "Vehicle owners seeking additional information about this recall should contact Audi customer service at (800) 253-2834—provide recall reference number 74D5".

The 2-3 hour quote is pretty ambitious on the dealers part. It's a lot more than just taking the seat out and changing a sensor. They pretty much have to take the seat apart to get to the sensor and reassemble it. I dropped mine off at 7:30 and it was done at 3 o'clock. My dealer in MSP said that they are doing 5 or 6 a day.

PODS can be done in 2 hours. Not sure what other maintenance you were having done that may have made it more difficult for them to coordinate.

I placed an order for the PODS sensor 2.5 weeks ago and am being told it's on back order. Has that been others' experience?

No, mine was done withing a week of requesting the appointment, although it took almost the whole day to get it done.
