Hi Guys,

Which Nav version is this and can I upgrade either the version or the maps to something newer than 2013? Or the main MMI P0609 version to a newer version?

I need to know what exact model of MMI or RMC I have???

Because there are 2 choices of the Video in Motion on the OBD11, one is for MMI and one is for MMI RMC?

Software is HN+R_US_AU_P0609 Also if there is an easy way to update the navigation version, please let me know.

You have the MMI 3G+, not RMC. You are running a very old firmware. There are dealer firmware upgrades. The latest one is 0942_x. Not sure exactly which patch version is the latest. I'm running 0942_3 if I remember correctly. Got it installed about 2 years ago. There hasn't been a major new update as the system is end of life. Map updates continue to come out. There's usually one every 6 months. Officially, firmware and map updates can only be performed by a dealer. Map updates can cost as much as $400 for the map data plus labor. There are some grey market sources and you can find firmware updates on eBay if you are technically inclined to perform the update yourself. You also have older hardware, so you are only getting a 2G signal for Audi connect. Audi offered a telephone module upgrade to original owners to restore the 3G signal after T-Mobile refarmed their network and also added support for AT&T. I believe the part is discontinued now, though.

+1 on the above. I've got the latest 2019 maps on my D4 3G+ MMI and running 6.18.2 version. Your firmware will need to be updated first, since that's also the original from the factory.

Thank you for the help and knowledge. Yes I am looking at non dealer options to upgrade the firmware and maps. I'd like to find out about the telephone upgrade as well
