2017 S6 Prestige on eBay

The car is a fully loaded 2017 Prestige S6 with 8,900 miles. The original MSRP sticker is $94,400 (including $3,900 Audi Exclusive Pearl Red paint) and the asking price is $69,900. I’ve been watching this car for a few weeks and it seems like it’s priced too high, but it’s a unique looking S6.

Here are my questions:
1) Is Flint Gray similar in lightness to Lunar Silver? How difficult to keep clean? I think I prefer the regular sport seats with the diamond stitching to these comfort seats in terms of appearance but this is not a deal breaker.

2) Do you think the bright red paint job is appropriate for this size car? My point is that you don’t see many midsize cars in a bright red color. I don’t mind it but would surely not be willing to pay $4K for it. My position on Exclusive options like paint is that the original owner should not expect to recover a penny of what he has paid.

3) the black aluminum/wood trim striped interior trim is nice but pricey at $1,250. I could do without it.

4) my bottom line question is this: What’s the fair selling price for this car? I’m thinking no higher than around $65K.

I don't sell cars for a living but I do watch selling prices, and analyze how options effect the asking for price, and how Mod's do the same. I will say Ebay is the perfect selling place for that car, it will get the exposure that a unique kind of configuration needs to sell at the normal selling price. I just quickly did some math in my head and 70K asking is like "text-book" asking price for that car, perhaps even slight below it. I bet if I KBB that, that's what it would come out to be plus or minus 1.5K or so. As far as like the Exclusive Pearl Red, and the Layered aluminum/wood options: you are not paying the 3,900 and 1,200 you'd be paying the depreciated amounts for them, so more like $2800 for the Paint and like $850 for the Layered aluminum/wood, in case that makes you feel better.

The interesting thing about the red color is that the S6 already does come in a very similar bright red color named Misano Red pearl effect which only incurs the normal metallic/pearl effect paint charge of $925, assuming you even get charged for it. So as far as I’m concerned, you have to knock off at least 3 grand for the custom paint job.

The Comfort seats are probably great but I think the standard S sport seats are better suited to an S model. The wood trim is nice, but it does bother me that the direction of the white stripes are different between the dash/doors and the center console. I see why they had to do it like that, but it still looks a bit odd.

I paid slightly more for my brand new 2018, and much prefer it over that car. The seats would be a deal-breaker for me (they make the car), but to each his own. The crappy aluminum trip same thing, but at least that's cheaper to correct. My guess is that was a woman's car, but could be wrong. At any rate, my only advice is if the car is not EXACTLY what you want, wait for the next one, or you'd get tired of it quickly. Don't ask me how I know that. Ha ha.

have the 2016 version....NO apple CarPlay....Bummer. And there is no Audi MMI upgrade available for my year.

I have the Blacked out treatment and some special interior but otherwise same car. Keep in mind your warranty starts on the buy date i think so make sure you know how much time you have left remaining on the 4/50 warranty. 9k miles is low which is nice when it comes to wear and tear. I got mine with 6500 miles.

Looks like the auction is closed. Strange as it looks very similar to me as a Misano Red car and would have been much cheaper.

Side note, many with 2016 C7.5's are activating Apple CarPlay easily and cheaply....check here...

Looked at their website. They sell premium cars and this unit is not on their site. Must have sold.
