Default Quickie - Horizontal strip in front grille.

Folks, I get more confused when I see pictures for 2013 A6 and S6 front ends. Is the horizontal plastic strip that goes across the front grille (the place where the front license plate holder would be at) black and glossy finish or gray and matte finish.

Appreciate the info.

It's matte gray on the S6. Guess you know that. Don't know what the A6 is.

It's the filler panel. You'll see them on all cars except the launch cars. It seems Audi, after showing how nice a car can look decided to make it butt ugly and not have an option to not get it.

Thanks for the quick response. ok, I know curiosity kills the cat in some situations but why is this 2013 A6 look like it has a black glossy panel?

Thanks Alex!

I didn't like the gray so made mine black. Thought it looked better. Really like the RS6 grille except for the Quattro bottom section.

What did you use to make it black?

Well if you don't have a spray booth big enough for the whole car the first step is to remove the grille, then you....just kidding. I used 2" wide electrical tape. If you're careful it'll look factory.
