Default Remove S6 Emblem

Searched but couldn't find a definitive answer. My "6" fell off of the S6 emblem on front grill. I'm now driving an S... =)
My 2014 S6 is covered by CPO but dealership said emblems are not included and wanted to charge me $83 for a new part plus who knows how much for install.

Found the part online for $31 shipped so I'll have it soon. I can't figured out how to pop the old one out. I know it's a clip but not sure how to best get back behind and which direction do I push, up or down.

Any advice?

Be careful with the S6 badge in the trunk (I debadged the rear completely, including Audi rings, plus the 'V8T' badges on the sides. Left the front 'S6' grille emblem due to looking uglier without it). Anyway, that badge doesn't have any pins, but it's glued quite strongly. I stupidly didn't heat it up, and ended up denting the paint after lifting one side away from the car while the other edge 'leveraged' itself against the paint. Since the car was cold, I kept breaking the fishing line. It needs to be hot to be able to get the fishing line across the entire badge, at which point you can pull it out since it'd have little resistance with the fishing line having severed the adhesive. Hope this helps. Good luck.

'Glide' dental floss. Forget the fishing line. The floss is waxed, providing the lube to help it slide over the paint and under the emblem. Patience is the key here.

+1 with the glide and use a hair dryer. This coming from a balding dentist!
