I bought some shadowline trim tape as well. Still haven't installed it because I'm pondering the best way to cut circles for those parking sensors. I'm hesitant to cover them.

I think the easiest thing to do now is try to obtain the RS7 grill since that car is coming here, the part will be cheaper domestically, and its the same part.

I dont see why it wouldnt be. The A4/A5/RS5 grill is the same. It would be silly for them to create so many different size grills if they dont have to.

I went and downloaded a pic of the RS7 and overlayed the grill on a photo of an S6. It does not look like it would fit -- the top angles seem to be different.

I could be wrong, but it doesn't look like a small difference.

If you could do me a favor, since you work at an Audi dealer, would you be so kind to eye-ball an A7/S7 grill vs and A6/S6 grill next time you grab a second... and let us know what you think?

For what it's worth, I can tell you that the A6 and A7 do not share the same grill. The A6 grill has tapered edges at the top corners, where the A7 top corners are wider and more squared.

Guess I havent really stared enough at them. I just went out and looked at them side by side. They are different. Guess Ill still keep up with my parts manager and see if he ever gets a sku for it.
