Default S6 Downpipes and Exhaust

ok, so I read a bunch of thread about the different options for downpipes and cat back exhausts for my S6.

But... I still need more information.

I’m looking for a setup that will give me growl sound, but won’t be annoying while on the highway. No drone sound. Just a solid V8 growl when I punch it.

Help!!!!

AMS downpipes. I had the APR downpipes for a few days, hated them and ordered the AMS downpipes to replace them. My only regret was not getting the AMS units in the first place.

Also, the AMS downpipes will work fine with the stock tune & with EPL stage 2 tune.

The downpipes do work fine with the stock tune, so much so that I had AMS downpipes on my car when I had it in for CPO. It passed with no issues.

Do you have an exhaust with those downpipes?

Any exhaust sound change with just the pipes?

I do, at first I had the stock do sports exhaust. After I put on the S8+ turbos, I pulled the stock sports exhaust and put on an Akrapovic exhaust.

S8 turbos?!?! Wait what am I missing. You just slapped on different turbos???? More power??? I want in.

That's stage 3. The RS7 & S8 use the same turbos and same low 9.3:1 static compression ratio.

The APR stage 3 info is posted here, but there are other options.

On the S6/7 (10.1:1 static compression ratio), one loses a little of the low end torque with 91 octane fuel & the extra power is not so much for 91 octane over the stage 2 downpipes, but with 100 octane fuel, hold on. The S8 & RS7 can run higher peak boost with 91 octane, due to the lower static compression ratio.
