I'm running 15mm/12mm (r/f) on my 20" summer set and asked the engineers at Fletcher Jones and Blue Grass Audi in Lexington about them and they both replied that an inch of additional track isn't going to mess with anything.
Make sure that you get hubcentric spacers that have hub extensions. I had a 10mm set for the front that lacked the hub extensions and they were a bitch to get centered (which, if I'm being honest, I just don't get...shouldn't the 5 bolts line the thing up correctly?).
Also, which car is yours? I only see 3-4 other S6's in the city.

2. Whether a particular wheel will clear a braking system is completely dependent on the individual geometry of that wheel. No amount of numerical data can give you all the info on this. Spoke geometry and barrel geometry can vary significantly on two wheels with the same numerical specs.
3. Not all 19" wheels will clear the S6 calipers circumferentially, so be careful. Your best bet is to just get a set of wheels that you know will fit the S6. Either a set of stock 19" wheels or something from a place like tirerack that has done fitments.

All three of these things. I was an early buyer and ended up driving down to South Bend to get Tire Rack guys to measure for me. At the time, there was only 1 real 19" option (a BBS something), and it was a little spendy for a winter set imo.
The Hartmann guys in Seattle got their hands on someone's car (perhaps an AW member) and fit their 19s on it and guaranteed the fit. I ordered and they worked just fine.
