Oh boy. They actually put fake exhaust tips on the S6/7. I am wondering if this is just an EU thing since they use the TDI engines for the S6.

I just can’t believe Audi would do this to the A6 let alone the S6!! Why have them at all?? Especially such blatantly fake ones. They literally added 4 fake exhaust pipes. lol.

Reminds me of something a cheap cheap car manufacturer would do - not a luxury one. Tsk tsk

There was a video that had comments from Audi. Asked about the fake exhausts they said packaging requirements for the ad-blu tank etc prevented functional tailpipes. Supposedly the gasoline versions will have the real thing. Looking at the video I’m doubtful.

At least one of them is real. There’s a lot of cars with quad pipes where only one on each side is functional.

The S6/S7 with gasoline engines, which includes the North American market, has real exhausts.

EU CO2 emission requirements are crazy strict. It’s why they will now only get TDI S models, with fake exhaust tips and even faker performance car exhaust sound, and worse performance numbers than their petrol fed American siblings.

Poor Thomas, he’s trying to help Audi sell the S6 TDI to the EU performance car market. But this one’s a hard sell...
