AWE EXHAUST REVIEW ON MY S7 and S6
#12
To each is own. Hearing the exhaust of your sports sedan when hauling *** down the street is one thing. But shelling out big beans is another. The AWE system seems to bring more exhaust note in the interior and give a more aggressive sound on the exterior. Although having the same car stock, in sport mode when you floor the car you hear the exhaust rumble with the windows up and the music off. Is it worth the money? If you got it then do what you like. Stage 2 full Inconel exhaust system would be my choice if I were to even think about it. Which I'm not

I told Todd from AWE that I thought it needed a little more volume but after I spent some time with it I realized he dialed it right in. It is much better than stock and can def be heard at WOT . . . . the down shifts are accented nicely also. I feel what AWE calls their "Touring Exhaust" is very well suited for the car . . . .My M3 vert has QTP cutouts on an AA exhaust and while I like it a lot . . . it makes me appreciate the AWE setup more for its refinement.
It is a tight rope act to design an exhaust for the S. . .I feel the car does so many things well but Audi def made it too quiet . . . I wanted more volume for it and was not sure at first if it was loud enough . . but now I would pick the touring exhaust over a louder system because I feel it fits the car so well. So for me it is the right exhaust for the car.
You always know it is there . . . . it has a nice rich tone . . . when you hammer it and on downshifts it makes itself known to everyone in earshot.
The noise in the cabin is a little more than stock in normal driving and when you are aggressive it matches the mood.
Sent you a PM . . .hit me up if you have more questions.
