I have an RS7 on order in Daytona Gray Matte, and am having second thoughts about the color choice. Just wish I could see one somewhere to help with the decision (and Nardo Gray, too). I don't think it's gone into production, so I still have time to change my mind.

I've been reading a lot on the detailing forums about taking care of matte paint, and am actually not that worried about that aspect as I am pretty meticulous already, and never take my A7 to through the car wash, etc.

I just wonder if it will look great (as it does in the press photos) or a little too over the top (someone said "Batmobile-ish"). On the other hand, it is a special car that is perhaps worthy of this look? I ordered the Alu-Optic package, too, as it seemed to be on the car in the press photos and looked like a fit.

Thoughts? Has anyone seen an R8 in Daytona Gray Matte? Or other cars?

Find a guy who has a BMW with a matte finish and ask him.JUst have to be careful of buying car wash with WAX in it. Plus a guy with oil on his hands you will need to clean them off.

I would get Daytona Grey Pearl - then take it to a local Xpel Paint protection shop and have them do a sample of their Stealth film on a quarter panel and decide if you like it. If upu do.... thenget the entire car wrapped in the clear matte stealth wrap, get everything you want and all the additional protection that comes with it.
