Greetings:
I'm new here, so I hope this hasn't been covered elsewhere. Is there a retrofit option to bring the map display of a 2012 S7 onto the main instrument cluster, as it is implemented on current-year S7s? I'm told the canbus architectures are different, but I don't know the technical details, or feasibility, of trying to do this retrofit.

The easiest way to do this is to trade your 2012 for a 2016 or newer car. There are so many parts that would need to change that it would be cost prohibitive.

Thank you. I thought that might be the case, but was hoping it might have been just a straight software upgrade. Now I know it isn’t!

I have an Q3 2017 usa version. Would I be able to make this upgrade to the VC so I can get rid of this bastard analog cluster. For a 2017 car this analog cluster is embarrassing.

I updated the MMI software but it isn't a software fix, totally different hardware. Even if you're able to change the Instrument Cluster, I don't know if the Graphic card in 2012 car would support all of it. The Facelift came with new and more powerful processors. I did some research and decided to not to touch it because of all this complications...
