OK, that's consistent to what I experience. The first time the light went on I freaked, but "min" in this case is only a bit over a quart low. So you have to get close to "min" to have room for a full quart to stay under "max".

This is what my mechanic recommended to use. It's not expensive on Amazon:

Just completed a 4000 mile road trip. Absolutely no oil consumption. About 3000 miles of highway driving at 75-85 MPH the rest was pretty spirited driving with a lot of rapid acceleration for passing.
