OP, the news story has a lot of "weird" info:
- "The owner told police he purchased the car several months ago for $85,000." - The car is worth less than 1/2 that according to KBB, so not sure what this is about
- You have an S7, but you drove it around without insurance, because according to you "I had to cut my insurance off a week before the accident happened due to financial costs" - you can afford an S7, but not afford to insure it???
- What's with all the "boy racer" stickers on the trunk of the S7?
- No this engine will not work for a 3 series, without a lot more work.
- What is the court case about?
- Your best bet is to attempt to find the rear quarter panel, trunk, bumper, etc... from a used S7 that's had front end damage...there are a LOT available and transplant the parts you need to your vehicle.

Good evening to you all that were curious on the story. The person that stole my vehicle will have to pay for the damages of my vehicle, 34K. I also owe 6K more on it until it's all paid off. I want to get rid of it and part whats left of the vehicle. The engine has 91k miles on it. The only performance parts the vehicle does have is a stage 3 APR tune, APR downpipes and intercooler and Air Intake.
