Default The waiting begins

Just pulled the trigger and ordered a 2014 S7

IBIS White
Innovation Package
Cold Weather Package
Driver Assist Package
LED Headlights
Power Close Doors
Carbon Fiber Inlays
20" Wheels
Black Headliner

I will add clear bra, hard wired Valentine 1. Thinking of getting dedicated winter tires and rims, but still undecided.

Can't wait to get the car. Pictures in 3-4 months

I'll be picking up my a7 on wed. I have same except cold weather and black headliner. It is currently at a shop getting tinted and Xpel full front (full hood, front fenders, mirrors, front bumper), rocker panels, rear bumper and a pillars with part of roof. Edges will be wrapped. Didn't want any seams. Forgot also getting lights. Trying to avoid road debris damage

I ordered my S7 on June 26. I haven't gotten a delivery date yet from the dealer, but am told we'll know that this week or next.

Ordered:
Quartz Grey
Cold Weather Package
Driver Assistance Package
LED Headlights
Power Closing Doors
carbon inlay
all weather mats

I'm up in NH, so will likely buy winter tires and rims later in the year. shopping now for a radar detector. I read good things about Valentine one, but I want a very discrete installation (no wires/inconspicuous mounting)

RIGHT ON, wish they had Power Close Doors when I ordered mine

Did you consider Laser Jammers with the V1 ?

I bought my stuff from Cliff too, haven't been able to jam anything yet, but the stiR plus has saved me 2x from radar/camera

Good luck on the waiting!

I spent an hour today at the dealership working out the details for an order of a new 2014 S7. My '02 S6 Avant is now almost 12 years old and I finally gave up waiting for the new S6 Avants to make to the US, so the S7 is the next best thing since it has the hatchback and the power. Why Audi of America tries to push anyone who wants a practical car which can haul stuff as well as people to buy a bloated SUV is beyond me. The rest of the world gets those beautiful sporty station wagons, but not us.

Anyway, end of rant. My option selections are:

Cold Weather, Driver Assist, Comfort Seats, LED headlights, Power door closing, floor and cargo mats, and carbon inlays

I am also waiting on the price from the dealer for a special order of the Daytona Gray Matte paint offered on the RS7. If its ridiculous, I'll probably go with Oolong Gray or maybe Moonlight Blue.

My only choice remaining is size of wheels - 19" vs 20" (the latter with or without the "black optic") package. Any thoughts on the advantages of the larger wheels? Anyone seen a photo of the "black optic" (which I think is different from the "black edition" offered in the UK)?

Thanks.

I recommend going with the 20s at a minimum. Those wheel wells are really ginormous. EVen the 21's on the RS7 kinda preview what should really be in those wheel wells.
