Default early invitation, so folks can plan ahead, ...

looking for audi participants, for
<b>boki's 3rd annual big western gtg</b> at the 2008 world of speed
<b>september 17-20, 2008</b>
<i>link to the event, at the very bottom of this post</i>

pics from the 2nd annual boki's big western at 2007 bonneville world of speed event

130 club - you get five passes to acquire 2 runs above 130 mph, ....
on a 1 mile course, from a standing start, on the salt, which has about half the grip of tarmac.
<b>"it only <b>sounds</b> easy"</b>
<i>a lot of 'badass' cars didn't make it</i>

a fully stock, modern audi will not likely achieve the 130 club. you will need to be chipped, at least.
anyhow, all are welcome. there's lots of fun to be had, even if you don't run for the 130 club.

Default Boki, we're planning to have this as an official Utah Chapter ACNA event as well

Thinking an ACNA day on Friday or Saturday. Have a flock of Audis doing the 130 Club...

The more out there the merrier!

Default Utah Audi Club members do plan to attend

I may bring my motorcycle out this year. I have to take a look at the regs for the 150 club as I am a 130 club member from 2006 in the S4.

Default yay!!

a thought, john.

you know as well as i, more painfully for me, that the event can be rained out in an heartbeat. also, the queues get longer on subsequent days.

as inconvenient as it may be for some folks to get off work, wednesday and thursday are the best days for those that really hope to making successful runs.

Default Question about entry fees...

Is it $75 to enter in the 130mph attempt and an addition $40 to be a member?

Default yes, ....

$75 entry fee (gets you an official participant's tee-shirt)
$40 usfra membership (gets you a usfra embroidered patch)
<u>and</u> $35 course prep fee

total $150, ..... very reasonable

success in the 130 club also gets you a certificate and 130 club embroidered patch
