Default OEM HID ballast source?

Just curious if anyone has or knows of an OEM HID ballast locally?

I thought I had a bulb out (low beam). Replaced both with new bulbs. It was still out. Checked the fuses, all checked good. Swapped the bulbs between the good headlight and the bad headlight, and the bad headlight was still out (so the bulb was good). Then just swapped headlight units between both sides, and bad headlight swapped sides. So, in my limited knowledge, it must be the ballast in the headlight housing? The bulb checked good, and the wiring checked good, when moving the headlight housing.

Thanks for any thoughts or ideas. Or if I am missing anything else it might be. BTW I first noticed this after running the car through a touchless car wash (which I hardly ever do), so I'm guessing it could be a water issue?

Default avalon out of Colorado has after market Xenon ballasts

55w instead of the 35w. I run them now and its huge the amount of difference in light output. Went with e-codes at the time as well to get a better light pattern too.

Default 2nd on e-codes if you want to afford it. Other then that you may check ebay or I thought I heard

of a few newer cars in some pull a part lots. Or someone may be selling theirs on B5S4 forum due to upgrading to e-codes. Check AW classifieds too!

Default Check with local body shops. sometimes they replace a whole light

and don't swap over bulbs ballasts etc.

Default well one thing is you are recommended to replace both ballasts at the same time

and ballasts do go bad and dim over time, they don't last forever.

I have my original ones still if you (MaineB5S4Avant that is) can't find another source.

But I still suggest just talking to Brian at Avalon and getting new ones. The 55w aftermarket ones are cheaper than the 35w OEM ones.
