Wonderful day at World of Speed
We got out here early this morning and started setting things up, got the car tech-ed and have been watching some runs.
The salt is hard and dry making for some fast times.
If you're coming out, our pit area is right near the impound.

Terry Tippets is out here in his TT working on the 130 Club. He's made 4 runs so far with a top speed of 119 mph.

We have the new (proposed) Utah Audi Club logo on the car...

more pics, ... more stories, ... more, more, ....
that TT stuck at 120, is gonna have a hard time finding another 11mph
have they tried it both with TC on, and with TC off?
TC on was actually a tiny bit quicker for me through the first half mile.
i saw the seams taped. maybe slick packing tape instead of frictiony painters' tape. also bumper scoops taped flush with bumper surface, not recessed. seats and spare tire out? side mirrors removed?

5 new members into the 130 Club, 9 Audis out there.
It was a lot of fun! I'll post some more pictures later once I go through them. Got some sweet in-car video on some 130 runs as well.
New 130 Club members for 2008:
Josh Decker (S4)
Dagan Elton (RS4)
Mark Stahmann (RS4)
Dave Mordal (RS4)
Jibberjive (S4)
Terry Tippets did try and make it in with his TT 225 but only made 119 mph with his body seams all taped up, wiper blades removed, mirrors folded back, tires way over-inflated, etc.
Justin (Service Manager) from Ken Garff Audi brought the new A4 out there for people to see.
