Probably a component failing

I've been struggling with this problem for several months. If the splash screen comes up for a second or two, then it's probably not the MMI itself, but one of the components failing.

The most...

That's right. Although, they're two separate warnings that can be set at different speeds (I guess designed for those of us who insist on ignoring first warnings). The speed set via MMI can only be...

CD player was causing the problem

Dealer said that the CD player needed to be replaced. They didn't have the part in stock so they took it out while we wait for the replacement.

Meantime, the MMI works again.

So reinstalling...

Same thing happened to me on Saturday...

Must be that time of year.

I tried a bunch of things including checking for blown fuses. Nothing.

I'm heading for the dealer this morning.

It's supposed to be in the "Instrument Cluster" MMI settings under the "Car" button menu items, but I just checked and sure enough the Instrument Cluster setting is gone.

I guess it went the way...

It definitely helps to build a relationship with a good adviser. If you have the option in your area, you can always try a different dealer.

You can also call AoA and complain to them. Not sure...

I'm having the same issue and will be taking mine into the dealer in a few days. Having the TSB in hand should make it easier.

Had similar problem on my 06 A--they fixed it with a software update

Apparently, it's a common problem w/ CVTs in general (not only Audis).

After complaining about it for several months and being told there was nothing wrong, I found a TSB that covered the issue....

Re: MMI 46.10 and Phone module upgrade complete

After dealer upgraded me to 46.10, I still get the buzzing sound on my iPhone 3G occasionally, but seems to be less frequent than before.

Re: Generally, at what intervals are people replacing brakes?

I just had mine replaced (front and back) at 30K, rotors also.

I do mostly city driving w/ a couple of freeway runs a week.
