Yeah, well,

I've seen kawf with a better search, so that argument doesn't wash.

Two versions, as a matter of fact.

UBB and ZeroForum present pretty much the same user experience.

Kawf does not.

I guess making it better for the sysadmins is more important than the user experience. Yeah, that's SMRT!

I spend 95+% of my forum time in 4 forums with sub-threading capability.

Three of them are kawf, one is a one-off.

I can't imagine using non-threaded software. I *HATE* linear forums where you can't effectively reply to a reply.

There is a reason we aren't all at Fourtitude or Audizine already.

The idea that we haven't seen that format is so absurd it's unreal.

Linear.

Forums.

Suck.

Sounds reasonable to me.

I'm on a private kawf forum that was started in 2003, and really got going in the wake of some AWOT over-modding in 2004.

It's still going.

I don't know.

I'm not up on a lot of ordering details, since I got mine used, and didn't look at a lot of cars. That's another story I can relay over a beer.

I will say that while it was a huge PITA, it was...

Are these people really coming back with linear forums?

If so, they are fools, plain and simple. And how much of their existing user base / traffic are they planning on losing?

Sub-threading vs. horrible linear forums makes all the difference.

If you don't spend time in forums, and all you care about is ad revenue and not the user experience, sub-threading probably doesn't seem very important.

So their resources suck?

Sheesh, this can't be *that* hard.

What Man has done, Man can aspire to do.

But, of course, you have to have the right Men. And not boys.
