Default How smooth is your engine at idle?

i feel a a very minor tremor occasionally when in idle. Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like that. With your transmission in park, do you feel any engine vibration inside the cabin?

2.0t here, same as the OP and no noticeable rough idle. Could be the compressor switching on and off?

At idle, there was a significant tremor on the first Q5 TDI I test drove a few years ago. Coming from a gas V8, that was quite upsetting ...but I expect the 2.0T to be smooth. I have had a few loaners and i did not notice much. On the other hand, my TDI is is silky smooth, though.

My q5 has non res downpipes and exhaust. No problems

Can you elaborate on minor occasional tremor? See if you can feel it in neutral w/ parking brake on.

My TDI has a very slight vibration and some 'diesely' noise at idle.. however, just as it breaks away from idle that all disappears and its silky smooth.
