Default A8 to W12 grill upgrade for $15

I have been looking at the grill on the A8 for a long time trying to think of what to do. Rs mesh, s8 vertical grill, or w12 horizontal. With the trend of new Audi's going horizontal I perused this on my a8. I know it may not be perfect and by no way am I trying to pass my car off as a w12. But I like how it looks.

Before.

After

Possibly add more and make it look like the d4.

Line the panel gaps and fender wells with the same chrome stripping to finish off the look. Maybe even go with a DIY landau roof if you're feeling adventurous.

I figured I'd put some of those air intake vents on the doors and stick on louvers on the hood as well. Maybe... maybe even put some curb feelers and full length windshield mirror. Hahahaha.

Personally i would leave the number plate surround and do the fog light grills to match the grill slats

Nice - it adds light to a very dark gap/grill. Reminds me of the classic Cord

It'll be fine going down the street, most people won't notice the shortcut. A8 enthusiasts, however, will. I'll say I wouldn't have gone that route, but that's about it. You're right, a W12 grill is not cheap.
