Default griding noise backing down driveway

so i was backing my car down a driveway slowly today. and halfway down it felt like my car went out of reverse and into drive.

and it made this grinding noise, that at first i thought was my rim or bottom of car scraping something.

is that the dual clutch? i'm guessing it is. car has like 300 miles on it , anyone else have this happen?

When I am backing my car up on the driveway (I am parking my car backwards in my garage, trunk goes in first and the front is ready for next drive) I am noticing some grinding or rattling noise. I have a scheduled dealer service work for Dec.8th, sent them an email to have a closer look.

I had this happen only once when very slowly backing out of a parking spot. For me though it felt like the ABS kicked in.

I always back up my cars when I park them in the garage so that whoever takes it the next morning or whenever doesn't have to worry about backing up (they can drive away). Luckily, I've never felt the grinding/rattling noise till now. Can it be replicated or is it just a one time/very random occurrence?

For me it was only one time in the 2k miles I've had it.

Guess I'll keep my ears open when I back up the next time.

i only had it happen once. but it was loud. like, my wheel just hit a sidewalk loud. if it keeps happening well i'm going to make them do something. was backing up down an incline very very slowly since i've only had the car a few days and was being super super careful

It sounds like ABS is kicking in locking up the brakes. I've had this happen when my car thought my brother was going to walk behind me when I was reversing. Also when my mother was reversing the car really slowly and hit the brakes a little too hard right when the sensors detected a bush it kicked in.

Did it bring the car to a complete stop?

Bad sensor (well likely bad detection in the software) maybe? Doesn't presense rear put on the brakes when it detects something?
