Need advise: A7 best year and best pacakge, Opinions appreciated???
Hey guys: Thinking about getting my brother in law a graduation present and need a little help deciding. Hoping i can get some ideas as to what year and package A7 would be best. Looking at 2010's to 2013's maybe a 14 is priced right. No real budget but 35k or less would be nice. Looking for things like what year is most reliable and was problems major issues should I be looking for. Any and all help will be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
Also: we were thinking about getting him a BMW 750li 2010 to 2013

I would look for one of the newer model years under 50,000 miles so that there would be some warranty left.
I prefer the Prestige model for the S line exterior and other upgrades but that may not be your budget.

In the USA, the warranty is four years or 50,000 miles. The car would have to have been put into service March 27, 2013 or later.
If you're interested in a car, get the VIN and contact a Audi service department. They can tell you the vehicle history, any Audi Care remaining and when the car was put into service.
As I found out after I bought my 2012 A7, "Put into service" does not mean when it was sold. My car was first sold April 2012. It was put into service seven months earlier by the dealer which started the warranty clock.

IIRC there were some subtle differences with 2012 model... only seats four, and something about the onboard electronics that couldn’t handle recent cellular network changes. But agree with above approach in any case... these are complex cars so it’s good to have a warranty to help sort out any post-purchase gremlins.
