Default Steering feel?

Question for those of you that have driven the b9 S4. Do you feel like the steering has too much play? More play that normal for an audi S car? I ask because I actually work at a dealership and after driving it compared to our other cars, it just doesn't feel heavy and weighted enough in dynamic mode. Compared to other S models, the difference between comfort and dynamic just doesn't seem as drastic either.

I ask because I am contimplating getting one and currently drive a '15 S3. I understand the s3 is a smaller and more nimble car. But I still feel like the S4 just doesn't get as tight as it should in dynamic mode.

I've also taken one out with the dynamic steering. It felt maybe a bit tighter, but still not as I think it should feel.

I'm sure I would get used to it but would appreciate your opinions. Especially for those coming from other Audi models. Thanks.

I agree there isn't much difference between the driving modes but it feels significantly tight to me and I definitely don't feel any play. Are you sure you weren't feeling lane assist?

No, the car did not have lane assist. Do you have dynamic steering? I'm trying to see exactly what that does and if it makes the feel tighter or not.

By "tight" do you refer to steering play or weight?

a bit of both. There seems to be play too much play in the wheel as well as not being weighted quite heavy enough.

Check your tire pressures. Too much pressure = light steering

This.
I had a B9 loaner recently and the tires were inflated to 52 cold. Drove much better once dropped down even to max load rating of 36.
