Default Have a dent on a leased A7..

Do I need to use an Audi approved repair shop?

Will they penalize me for having body repair done elsewhere..when I turn the car in?

Thanks

I don't know what Audi requires on a leased car. If the paint isn't cracked, you could try the paintless dent removal guys. I just saw a demonstration at a car & coffee yesterday.

You should not have to go through an approved vendor. If there is no accident report, then fix it the best you can (preferably as if it never happened) and you should not get charged when you turn the car in. Most manufacturers have a built in wear and tear amount ($500 or less) where they will not charge you for minor damage.

+1. You should get a PDR estimate for comparison.

It needs paint, it is beyond repair and need the rear quarter panel replaced.

I do know that if the panel is aluminum, the repairs will be properly done at a certified Audi shop with trained techs that work on Aluminum. Not all body shops are equipped and certified to work on Aluminum body panels.

Rear quarters are steel. Double check with a magnet.
