Default Rear Rotor and Pad change

Completed rear rotor and pad change.
Used VCDS to open parking brake
set car to jack mode
changed rotors and pads
cycle parking brake with VCDS
set adaptation for pad thickness.
Clear parking brake faults

I bought Zimmerman rotors and Pagid brake pads.
Both come with a lifetime warranty.

Pagid pads from FCPEuro
Zimmerman rotors from FCPEuro

Is the lifetime warranty for wear or the usual "defects in materials & workmanship"?

They give a lifetime warranty on every single thing they sell.
So wiper blades, brake pads, oil, bushings, etc.

i have returned BMW control arms after a year no problem.

(Most people get rid of their car before you will need to replace some of these parts, so it's an excellent business strategy. )

That didn't answer the question asked, not quite.

So, to answer your question, I checked on their site, and they do explicitly state that they will replace all of those things even if it's due to wear. It's quite a comprehensive coverage. The only stipulation being that you have to return the worn out part, I assume at your expense given no mention of them covering return shipping. We'd appreciate an update down the road, Dville, just to see how these parts are holding up for you. A lifetime warranty is great, unless it means redoing the work every 6-12 months.

I have been a customer for years.
I am actually a VIP customer.
I had a BMW E38 so yeah, pretty much everything needs changing eventually. 😀😀

They sell BMW Factory parts too, with a lifetime warranty, that's better than buying parts from the dealer.

shipping is of course your expense, you can return for exchange for any reason at all.

Last purchase of anything.
You either buy the new one and return the old for refund (what I did) or send in old and wait for replacement.

This could be due to poor image quality, but the vent channels doesn't look like it was cast properly in the image (notice the lack of shadow in the red circle and specifically the arrow). My eyes can't seem to differentiate between it being a casing issue or just a picture issue. So just a head ups if the vent channels weren't cast properly this can lead to overheating. Does anyone else see it? Just wanting to make the channels looked like this when the rotors were installed:

Agreed, in picture the vents look almost closed up (occluded) with some metal slag or something. That isn't normal Audi vented look, which is at least like the ECS picture and even more opened up and squared off as the general rotor thickness increases (fronts, bigger size fitments w/ larger motors).

Old edge oriented picture of factory W12 rears I took--old darker ones (wire brushed to look for part # and wear spec) were changed out to newer ones, which were drilled but also OE blanks.
