Default Audi Q7 Tire wear at 25K miles

Hi,
I have a 2015 Q7 and all 4 tires are almost weared out. Local tire company told me that there is no warranty on those tires. I have reached Audi customer care on warranty and they say I need to check with Tire manufacturer. It has done only 25K and I would have expected.

I have leased this vehicle and will return in next 6 months and I might run another 5K more.

Is there a way I can make Audi or Audi Financial make it accountable for early tire wear?

nope. what tire brand do you have? Is it a summer tire? What is the tread rating? I have seen summer tires do less than 20k on a new set. Also if you don't rotate them at proper intervals, it can take a quicker toll on you

Just go pick up a used tire set for 60% off. Something with 6-7/32nd remaining. That should get you through the rest of your term and you will still have the required 4/32nd left for Audi to NOT charge u when you return the vehicle

Depending on the tires and driving style, not really super early wear for 15 Q7. Many prior gen Q7s like yours saw only 20k to 25k miles on a set of tires. I had a 13 Q7 and the first OEM set lasted just 18k. Its well known to be a very tire hungry vehicle.

exactly right. There is always camber wear in the back. So constant tire rotation is a must if you want to maximize tire life

No insurance or warranty will ever cover general tire wear.

I had to replace the tires on my 2011 and 2014 Q7 before I hit 25K miles.

These cars are heavy and is very normal to need tires at 25K along with brakes
. I usually replace them earlier.

My 2015 came with Pirelli Scorpion Asimmetrico's on 20" rims. They lasted about the same. After doing a bunch of digging, it's super common for those tires.

I ended up replacing them with Conti DWS06's... if I can get 35-40K on them I will be pumped (they have a 50K warranty).

Please give a quick pros/cons of the Pirellis vs Conti DWS06 tires. Thanks.
