I'm trying to negotiate the best price with my dealer for a custom order 2018 Q7.

Is there anyone out there who was able to negotiate more than 4% off the MSRP?

I'm located in San Francisco, so I'm not sure how much location has to do with the deals around this area, but I'm wondering.

I got mine 6% off at Burlingame, hope that helps.

I just got 6% off as well but first dealer was 3% off, 2nd dealer was 4% off then I got referred from a friend to a 3rd dealership about an hour away from me that agreed to 6%.

6% off is about dealer invoice which seems to be as good as anyone can get.

I am taking delivery of my 2017 next week. I was only able to negotiate 4% off back in February.

If your purchase includes a trade in a discount is only a numbers game. The sales manager can give you a ten or fifteen percent discount if that is what motivates you but he'll adjust the trade allowance accordingly.

There's only one number that matters. That's the difference between selling price and trade allowance.

I got 4% and $2k more on trade in than Carmax quoted for our XC90. I figured this was a good combo.
