Does 'Advanced Key' lock car when outside certain radius?
I have an A4 Premium with the Convenience package that includes Audi's keyless 'Advanced Key' feature. On most other non-Audi cars I've owned with this feature, the car automatically locks when the key falls outside a certain radius. Upon re-entering that radius and touching the door handle, they would unlock. I don't think my A4 does this. There's been a few times when I've returned to my car and it was left unlocked. Am I failing to notice something or is this how Audi's implementation works? Do I have to manually lock my car every time I get out of it (by either pressing the lock button on the key, or touching the indent on the door)?

It won't, but if you get too far away from the car, try putting the key to your chin and then locking it. It will transmit the signal for much longer distances. No joke.

My Honda has the auto lock function called "Walk Away" once exceed 6 feet. However, it will not lock 100% of the time. Good thing it will beep rapidly if it didn't lock and prompt you to reach the key and push the lock button.

True statement. Pressing you key against any bony part will work, too. Your bones are pretty good signal amplifiers.
