i got the biggest cranking AGM battery at O'reilly's (Super Start brand) for my S6, for the past two years (since i've owned it) extreme cold would either render the battery dead or very slow to start and if i left the car for a few days without driving, same issue (my daily commute is only a couple miles so that probably contributes to the issue).....anyway, the AGM battery has been great, starts up with authority now, no cold issues whatsoever

The original one lasted me 11 years. With such longevity, I do not see a reason to go with something else.
you need to recode the computer after changing battery.

OEM at the dealer. It is about as much as any other battery. No questions about fit or compatibility with the car's battery computer (it has one).

Fully agree. My original OEM AGM battery also lasted 11 years (was still at ~90% strength). But with getting a 15% discount from University Audi for being a Audi Club NA member, the actual cost to me was a wash with any decent aftermarket battery. And re-coding it with the battery management module was essentially a plug-n-play replacement.
thanks
