Just placed and order for an '18 Q7 to replace an X5 3.5D as my daily plus race car tow vehicle. Now the long wait begins until it arrives in October sometime.

Congrats to you. At the rate things are going I won't have mine until October! Day 14 of it sitting in the Davisville RI port. Build was completed on 6/10. So angry! The '18 Q7s are being held up from delivery until inventories deplete further.

Are they stored indoors or sitting outside corroding?

They are in port. Definitely not inside......
