Default Keeping 'er clean?

My Frau purchased me a set of Zaino car care products. They seem to work well - although I used them for the first time this weekend on a Sunday no less!!! In Germany, it's bad enough to wash your car at your home, but NEVER on as Sunday*.

How so you keep your ride looking fresh, assuming you don't go the automated car wash route?

*My German auto enthusiast buddy says that is because Sundays in the summer is the one day of the week semi-trucks are banned from the Autobahn, so you drive 125-135 mph on Sunday and wash your car on Monday.

Truth.

Seems kind of odd not to wash a car on Sunday, I wash mine whenever it's dirty!

Sundays are a day for recreation- no household chores nor shopping (includeing groceries). However, Biergartens, recreation facilities and attractions are all open.

Seriously. If your day job doesn't pan out you definitely have something to fall back on. You have the "eye" that most of us amateurs will never have.

One thing I'm noticing, when most people are taking pics of their car, they must have the engine off because the mirrors are retracted. The photos would look a lot better if the mirrors are in the normal driving position. I've already made this mistake several times only to notice it hours later when post processing the pics on my computer. Although, even if I had the mirrors in the right position, my pics would never look this good.

Before I lived in Europe to totally didn't "get" folding mirrors,. But these days when the car is off, the mirrors are folded. I don't even notice.

thx for the photo feed back but I'm just an iPhone snapshot taker. The A5 is a new subject added to my usual beer & mtb pix.
