2006 A8: I replaced the drivers side headlight bulb, but it is still not working. Any ideas? I thought I would try to replace the relay, but do not know the location. Any ideas on trouble shooting?

If the bulb is not working then I would change the ballast first. There is no relay. There is a control module. What does VCDS say?

Thank you Richard for the reply. I do not have an updated VCDS, but will purchase one tomorrow, so i can save myself a headache.

So what i did was swap the module and then the ballast from one headlight to the other. It was the ballast. I was not familiar with the assembly and the related parts, or if there was a relay, so thank you for the help.

Would the VCDS have told me that the ballast was the problem specifically?

Don't know for sure. It has been too long since I had a headlamp issue.
