My front left suspension height level sensor is showing error in VAG-COM. Is the suspension height level sensor same for all wheels, so I can buy rear or other side sensor? Could Audi A8 sensor also work?

Assuming you are asking about a sensor for adaptive air suspension, the level sensor is different for each wheel per ETKA 7. And the level sensors for the A8 do not have the same P/Ns as the level sensors for the A6, so they won't be interchangeable.

If you provide the year (thru 2007) and engine of your A6, I can provide the P/N from my ETKA 7 program for the left front level sensor. If your A6 is newer than 2007, you might try www.genuineaudiparts.com to find the part that fits your car.

It's 2005, 3.0 TDI quattro.

Per ETKA 7 for a 2005 A6, the left front self-leveling sensor with linkage for vehicles with air suspension is P/N 4F0-941-285-B. Although the 3.0 TDI was not offered in the US market for 2005 C6 A6, there is no notation re: engine type for this sensor, so it should be a good P/N for all engine types offered for the C6 A6 in 2005.
