98,000 miles. I'm the 3rd owner. Took a gamble. No service records at all.

I have the same situation- i'm the 4th owner- no service records but I drove the car twice and had the car up on a lift and looked it over extensively before I pulled the trigger. 93k miles.

Good luck.! 2nd owner got it off a lease and had it for 10 years. He was cheap and never did anything to it. I had the timing belt done as soon as I could afford it and a couple other things. I just redid the entire front brake system also. I put about 4,000 into it over 2 years I've owned it. Best car I've ever owned

Nice. At around 150K I thought my A8 trans was getting weird and started looking for another car. That took 2 years. I got a newer D2 and then discovered the cheap transmission repair which made all the issues with the A8 trans go away, so it's still plugging along. I might as well keep it a while, it's probably worth less than $2000 but has no significant problems and I have almost new snow tires for it. That'll keep some hard miles off my S8.
