Hey guys.. I am trying to figure out which one of these safety/assist features are standard i.e., you get without Driver Assistant Package (DAP). Some of these features obviously belong to DAP but not sure about the rest even after reading some old threads.

I got the list from 2018 brochure:
2018 Audi Q7 Driver assistance features

1) Audi pre sense basic (Standard)
2) Audi pre sense city (Standard?)
3) Vehicle exit assist (?)
4) Rear cross traffic assist (?)
5) Collision avoidance assist (?)
6) Turn assist (?)
7) Adaptive Cruise Control / Traffic Jam Assist (DAP)
8) Traffic sign recognition (DAP)
9) Audi side assist (DAP)
10) Active lane assist (DAP)

Not sure the answer, but ACC is great.

As much as I never used cruise control in my life up until now (because I would have to disengage it every minute), having it adapt to slower cars makes it awesome.

It does blow that Audi sprinkles one must-have option into every expensive package.

Another example is the 360 camera. That is a must have. It is absolutely amazing and important to not curb the wheels or the front of the car on a curb.

But they put it into a package with stuff that is not needed.

@rsilvers129 Thanks.. trying to save $$ for Adaptive Chassis Package My build is going to be: Prestige + Adaptive Chassis + Rear Air Bags.
I'm glad #1-4 are standard features (at least on Prestige/P+). I know ACC/Traffic Jam assist are cool but I don't really care about them. I wish traffic sign recognition was not part of DAP.

Not sure if I wish that I got chassis or not.

The 360 camera makes steering perfectly aligned with parking spots so easy. I parallel parked in Boston without curbing the wheels. Also the right mirror will angle down to show the wheel when you go into reverse.

There are times I wish it had a less firm ride, so there is that. I blame it on the run-flats. It is not bad, just not perfect. If I could have got air suspension for $2000 without 4WS, I probably would have.

I wanted to get the air bags, but I would have had to wait about three more months. Dealer said he never orders them for inventory as he has had people refuse to take the car, but hasn't had anyone insist on having them. My research shows that they are better than not having them, with the exception of if you have a child that is not in a car seat, not in a seat belt, and decides to sleep on them (like just laying down on the seat like I did when I was a child).

Wait.. 360 camera is standard on Prestige right? Not a feature of any other package correct? I also think its a must have.

It is included and called the Top-View Camera.

I personally think that ACC is a must have. This feature is truly a game changer. I don't care for lane assist. But ACC relieves a lot of the fatigue that comes with stop and go traffic. Even better for long drives.

Totally agree, I'll never buy another car without ACC. It's the feature I use/appreciate the most, hands down.

I use it on every drive, even on back roads. I bet my wife never uses it just because some people are like that.
