THE BAD & THE UGLY - DEALER CONDUCT
Abbreviated!
HENDERSON NV
1. Inspection takes place under glaring-desert sun and 95 degree heat!
2. At home I discover extensive damage requiring WELL over five grand for like-new repairs.
3. No one at two dealers or the transport driver know anything. There's at
least one liar among them .
4. Dealer will buyback car for less than I paid. Insult!
5. The idea of repairs comes and goes. Money given and returned.
6. GM has the audacity to call me an EXTORTIONIST (Slander)! No apology given! In addition, he says I'm threatening him (not true) and questioning his integrity. I didn't then, but I sure as Hell do now. He closes by saying he's "through" with me.
8. All communications with him or his overseer are now nonexistent.
9. Doing my utmost to convince Audi Customer Service to put my case before the Area Sales Manager. Not an easy task, but it will happen. Your thoughts here are most welcome.
10. If you've made it this far, you have my sincere thanks. Copies of GM's letter and my rebuttal are readily available for you perusal.
11. You pay for a new car, you get a new car. It's been that way since Day One.

I have dealt with this dealership and had nothing but the most positive excellent experience.

Photos for what is wrong with the car would be good.
With my dealer, it would not have been possible for them to miss damage before delivering it to me. It was delivered indoors under special lighting, and it didn't have a spec of dust anywhere. Like not even one spec. Just sitting in it once added some specs of dust.

I picked up my 2017 A4 at Audi San Diego and delivery was indoors. (3rd deal with them). Black and not a spec of dust.

Something here doesn't add up. The OP says he inspected the vehicle at the dealership. Then he drives home and suddenly he finds it has some sort of damage, estimated to cost $5,000 to repair? Did you have a accident driving home? Maybe stop off at a store to pick up something and the vehicle got damaged while you were shopping?

WHO -
1. Motoring for 55 years.
2. Eagle Scout.
3. Vietnam Veteran.
4. Career USAF Officer Flying C141's for 17 years.
5. Retired Airline Captain.
WHAT - A Nightmare with compare!
1. Both front and rear ends extensively sand pocked.
2. One wheel scarred. (Damaged in Lehi UT and never reported!)
3. Another wheel excessively nicked.
4. An unblemished brand-spanking-new windshield.
Everything but item three remains a mystery. No one is speaking up. Audi Lehi UT was the original dealer where it spent 84 days and racked up 274 miles. In NV for 39 days and added 26 miles before my purchase on 5/31. All damage verified by the Service Manager in Bend OR. I flew in for my delivery and drove home in great weather arriving 6/1.
When - Covered.
Where - Audi Henderson NV. Part of the Findlay Automotive Group.
Hope this Helps.
