Default Question for those with XPEL on their Q5/SQ5

My Q5 went in for xpel on the aframe, roof, rocker panels, bumper, side panels, cargo gate, etc as well as window tint.

It looks great other than some bubbling on the hood crease. These are supposed to work out in a few weeks. Has anyone else had this experience?

I had Xpel put on my SQ5 and had the entire front end of the car wrapped in PPF. Mine came out clear and no bubbles.

Mine was done last week with a number of micro bubbles in the crease areas. I was told they would resolve within a couple of weeks. If not, then it will be a redo on the hood. For what it's worth, I had the full hood done, bumper, full fenders, rockers, a pillars, roof leading edge and rear bumper top at cargo hatch. The hood is the only spot where bubbles were present.

Tulsah,

Same with mine...the only place i have bubbles is the hood creases. My installer will do a redo as well if they don't resolve, fingers crossed....

A few weeks? No. That's not right.

Tiny pockets of air should be worked out within 24-48 hours MAX, sitting out in the sunshine preferably. I had the same issues with the sharper hood lines on my SQ5 and XPEL Dallas saw the first lay-down of film was not sufficient. They immediately corrected it and now it looks perfect.

Bring your vehicle back and have the installer re-lay the film.

They look slightly improved... But still there. I will park the car outside tomorrow and if no improvement I'll take it back in.
