Getting my 2018 Q7 Prestige with RSE prep. Whats your opinion/experience with the RSE kit (4M0051700B)? Which is the best place to buy and whats a good price to pay?

Love them. It's the first time for me dealing with android devices and I like them a lot.

The general consensus is that they are not worth the $ at full retail or as part of the window sticker. They don't integrate with the MMI so there is no way to stream the accompanying sound from RSE video through the car speakers.

If you find a set on eBay or Craigslist at a decent price it is much more reasonable for the limited integration and lackluster performance.

They are just Android Tablets. $80 to $130 each on Amazon all day long for normal ones, without the Audi wiring. $15 more for car-seat mounts.

they are pointless. you can get android tablets and do the same thing yourself sans mounting which is useless anyway and use your phones or the Q's wifi on them as well.

Mine didn't have the RSE PREP installed from the factory. Is it possible to make is RSE ready now? What parts besides the those Audi Tablets do I need to do that? Thanks.

Why not just use your own tablets?

Btw, your dealer is the same as the one I go to!
