What is going on with delay in production of 2018 Q5 prestige? The excuse is Audi can't find 18 in wheels. Is it that or is it labor disputes in new Mexico factory? My dealer says Audi will not give them any ETA or explanation other than the 18 in wheel delay. What is going on and can anyone explain how i can get more precise ETA on my car which is now indefinitely delayed? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I got the same reason for delay.( shortage of 20 inch wheel package)
Looks like its 3 to 4 month wait period.

and what was the originally promised delivery? I placed an order 2 weeks ago and was told 3-4 months estimate to take delivery

Welcome to the club! I have been waiting 4 months with the same excuse. Some have been waiting longer and others have gotten lucky and only waited 2-3 months.

It seems a lot of the delays also involve having DAP, perhaps this is also the issue leading to delays, but Audi isn't saying this. I ordered a Q5 Prestige in June, w/o DAP but with the standard 20in wheels, cold/warm weather packages and I pick up my car up this weekend. Just my thoughts....

@vikingshrink Ask about the logistic issues such as accidents seen here that go unexplained. Here.

I was one of the lucky ones...my re-order was placed on 5/8 and took delivery on 8/18 (prestige, DAP, damping) However he mentioned that there were logistics issues at the plant and some customers with sq5 orders placed in april are still waiting with eta's in october.

I was given a delivery date of Sept 14th and then they extended this to end of the month.
