I've had both. B9 is nicer, more affirmative. B8 also squeaked (weird).

Thanks for the feedback.
Was looking to go with the A5 but no 6 speed available. Show stopper as I really enjoy the extra engagement.
Love the B8 manual in our current ride so looks like the B9 will be great as well.
The 2015 A4 is my first Audi and I'm really sold on the brand. Totally reliable, great all round quality and a constant pleasure to drive. Dave.

I wouldn’t wait too long to buy a manual A4. I have a feeling they will not offer it in the U.S. after the 2018 model year. I’m wondering if dealers in other regions of the country stock any manual cars or if it’s all factory orders. Here in SoCal, if you ask about a manual car, they look at you as if you are insane.

I placed the order last week and it should arrive here in Ottawa, Canada in 3 to 4 months. This will be the first 2018 A4 manual transmission the dealer has coming in. So you're absolutely right, the manual option is just not selling. Too bad.

So.... will there be a window where I will know if they don't offer 6MT in the 2019 and still be able to order the 2018 6MT I want from the factory?

Congrats George.
So you've had the 6 speed A4 since August or so. When was your order placed and how do you like the car?

Speaking of Standard Transmission, I find setup is much better, not a fan of reaching over shifter for MMI controls.
