Default Cam Adjustment actuator fault

My Daughters 3.2L Q5 went into safe mode and told her not to go over 4K rpm.

No Mil light, but I pulled this pending code with Vag Com.

Mode 07: Pending emission related fault codes

Address 7E8: 1 Fault Found:
P11B4 - Cam Adjustment Actuator B; Cylinder 5: Implausible Signal

Address 7E9: No fault code found.

I have ordered the 06E103697L adjuster to replace the trouble part, but there appear to be 12 of them on the engine.

Based on the code, which one am I supposed to replace?

My best guess would be actuator #2(on the exhaust cam) on the cylinder 5.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with your assessment. I know cylinder 5 is the middle cylinder on the drivers side. It has 2 adjusters there. I don't know which one is the exhaust adjuster. I need to know how to identify the correct adjuster.

I cleared all codes and I guessed which part it might be and unplugged it. Drove the car off the driveway and it threw a code, Vag Com confirmed it was Cam Adjustment Actuator B Cylinder 5, but this time open circuit.

Implausible signal is often caused by a connector issue. Be sure you can return the part if unopened.
