Potential solution to the top view camera error
Just turn off the automatic setting in the Parking Aid options. This prevents your 360 graphic camera from coming on when you are parking forward, but this has kept my reverse camera set in camera mode on the right-hand side for two days. Further, it matches with what Audi said causes the error (which is what gave me the idea). You can always manually press the P Parking button on the console to turn the function on when parking forward, which I find less of a nuisance than resetting the camera every time.
Note: If you do this be careful not to rely on the forward camera coming on when trying to park. It won’t, and you’ll wreck your car.

Try it with the engine on. Might also want to drive it around the block or something. Sometimes some of my menu options don’t appear, so I have to try it a couple of times. This MMI system is ridiculously buggy (see my other post about the audio system control errors).
