Default Continental vs Hankook

Any thoughts on these tires for all seasons? any advice is appreciated. Hankooks are about 150 less for a set of 4:

Continental Extreme Contact CT DWS or Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2

I live in Pacific Northwest.

Thanks again!

The Continental DWS 06 tires, along with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport AS3 tires are the best all season tires available.

Had Conti DWS on the A6 and loved them. Had a set of Michelin pilot sports but only lasted 25k miles. Maybe it's the driver and not Michelin? LOL

I looked at the Hankooks before I decided to spend the extra $$ on Conti DWS06s. All the images of the Hankooks I see on the internet show them with very little or no rim protector at all. I want a tire with good rim protection.

If you trust, believe in Tireracks evaluation of tires then it no contest, the Continental's win easily.

Have never used the Hankooks, but I've had the DWS for years, and have nothing but good things to say. Excellent grip, quiet, good ride comfort, great in cold weather/precip, last a long time (relative to the competition), pretty solid tramlining resistance. Only thing slightly lacking is the turn in, but I can forgive that easily given all their strengths.

Given how good they are, unless I'm building/buying a dedicated track car in the future, I honestly don't see myself ever going with the dedicated summer/winter wheel/tire setup again.

Have used DWS06's on my past three wheels. Not the quietest tire out there but it handles like a champ in almost all conditions. I live in the PNW and have put it through all of the seasons, brought it up the mountain in the snow and they operated with no problem.

I also forgot to mention I have had the DWS on a past car, and currently have the DWS 06.
Awesome tires as mentioned. They are not super quiet because of the aggressive tread, but aren't loud either.

Keep in mind that since many of us are here in PNW, if you are taking the car up to whistler in winter for snowboarding or skiing, BC police require snow tires to go up. Or chains....
